Saguenay, April 22, 2022 – The Eco Propulsion Program was launched in 2020 by Groupe l’Ami Junior. This non-profit was created to focus efforts on environmental conservation and sustainable development. In partnership with the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi through Carbone boréal, Eco Propulsion is an innovative project aimed at the automotive industry, designed to raise awareness among car dealerships and their customers who wish to reduce their environmental impact.

The Eco Propulsion Program (EPP) aims to raise awareness, educate, and inform people about the importance of the environment and sustainable development. We aim to help car owners become carbon neutral by offering them a simple way to offset their CO2 emissions through tree planting.

By donating $20,000 to Carbone boréal, Groupe l’Ami Junior will meet its goal of planting over 4,000 trees this year, which represents 571 tonnes of CO2. Thus, the group compensates for a significant part of its ecological footprint. L’Ami Junior will also commit to planting more and more trees and, through the Eco Propulsion program, offer all motorists the opportunity to join the program and thus compensate for their CO2 emissions.
